Export of chemical products from Turkey to Turkmenistan dropped by 18.68 percent from January through May 2020 compared to the same period of 2019 and made up $42 million, Turkey’s Trade Ministry told Trend.
In May 2020, Turkey's export of chemical products to Turkmenistan slumped by 45.66 percent compared to the same month of 2019 and amounted to $7.6 million.
Turkey's export of chemical products to the world markets dropped by 17.2 percent in the first five months of 2020 compared to the same period of last year and stood at $7.2 billion.
This indicator amounted to 11.7 percent of the country’s total export from January through May 2020.
According to the ministry, in May 2020, Turkey's export of chemical products to world markets amounted to slightly over $1.1 billion, which is 39.1 percent less compared to the same month of 2019.
Meanwhile, Turkey's export of chemical products made up 11.8 percent of the country’s total export.
During the last 12 months (from May 2019 through May 2020), Turkey's export of chemical products to world markets amounted to $19 billion.
