Iran's 4M2021 import of Turkish grains doubles in value

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 15

Value of Turkey’s export of grains and legumes to Iran from January through April 2021 doubled compared to the same period of last year, up to over $66.3 million, the Turkish Ministry of Trade told Trend.

According to the ministry, Turkey’s export of grains and legumes to Iran rose by 3.6 times in April 2021 versus April 2020 and amounted to $13.2 million.

Turkey's export value of grains and legumes grew by 15.5 percent in the first 4 months of this year compared to 4M2020 up to over $2.7 billion.

Turkey exported grains and legumes worth nearly $753.5 million in April, which is by 26.9 percent more than in the same month of 2020.

Turkey’s export of the mentioned products made up over $7.6 billion during the past 12 months (from April 2020 through April 2021).
