BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 21. The Turkish port of Botas received 525 vessels from January through May 2022, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkiye told Trend.
According to the ministry, 58 of the total number of ships accepted by Botas port were under the flag of Turkiye, 467 - under the flags of other countries.
Turkish ports received 5,093 ships in May 2022.
Some 1,750 of the total number of ships accepted by the ports were under the Turkish flag, and 3,343 were under the flags of other countries.
Turkish ports received 21,515 ships from January through May 2022.
Some 6,642 of the total sum of ships accepted by Turkish ports during this period were under the flag of Turkiye, and 14,873 were under the flags of other countries.
In 2021, the ports of Turkiye received 51,199 vessels, including 15,120 under the Turkish flag.
The remaining 36,079 ships received by Turkish ports were under the flags of other countries.
