At least one protester was killed and several others were injured on Friday in Yemen's in northwest Hajja province when police clashed with a march of thousands protesters demanding ousting of President Ali Abdullah Saleh, Xinhua reported according to local official.
Protester named Abdel-Hamid al-Hizeef was killed and several others were shot wounded when policemen clashed with the anti- government march in a street in Najra area in Hajja, the official told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.
Yemen has witnessed three-month-old anti-government protests demanding an immediate end to the 33-year rule of Saleh, undermined the security and stability of the country.
