At least one protester was killed and several others were injured on Friday in Yemen's in northwest Hajja province when police clashed with a march of thousands protesters demanding ousting of President Ali Abdullah Saleh

At least one protester was killed and several others were injured on Friday in Yemen's in northwest Hajja province when police clashed with a march of thousands protesters demanding ousting of President Ali Abdullah Saleh, Xinhua reported according to local official.

Protester named Abdel-Hamid al-Hizeef was killed and several others were shot wounded when policemen clashed with the anti- government march in a street in Najra area in Hajja, the official told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.

Yemen has witnessed three-month-old anti-government protests demanding an immediate end to the 33-year rule of Saleh, undermined the security and stability of the country.
