The events devoted to the holiday Novruz were held in Vienna, Trend was told on Tuesday in the Azerbaijani Embassy to Austria, Slovakia and Slovenia.
Events with the participation of representatives of the Azerbaijani community in Austria, diplomatic corps, business circles were held in popular club "'Aux Gazelle" and the famous concert hall of the city "Kursalon".
Famous singer Tunzala Agayeva performed with her ensemble at the celebration.
At the event in the concert hall "Kursalon" the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Austria Fuad Ismailov made a speech.
In his speech he noted the importance of Novruz holiday to countries where it is marked. Particularly was noted the recognition of the holiday Novruz as an official holiday of the UN and the adoption of a resolution on it in the General Assembly of this organization.
The events were organized with the support of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Austria, the Association of Azerbaijani students studying in this country, Association "Business, culture and sport" and SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan).
