Mouthwatering event as International Gastronomy Day holds in Azerbaijan's Shusha.........

SHUSHA, Azerbaijan, September 6. International Gastronomy Day is being held in Shusha with the joint organization of the State Tourism Agency, the Office of the Shusha City State Reserve Department and the Azerbaijan National Culinary Center, Trend reports.

Along with Azerbaijan, culinary representatives from such countries as Türkiye, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Iran, which are considered the main target tourism markets among Islamic countries, are represented at the International Gastronomy Day.

The event's second part will feature an open-air tasting of dishes representing the joint iftar table of Azerbaijan, Iran, Türkiye, and Uzbekistan, in accordance with the multinational nomination included in UNESCO's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, titled "Iftar and related socio-cultural traditions".

Additionally, an exhibition of national tourism brands will be organized within the event, showcasing samples of the gastronomic and tangible cultural heritage of the Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur regions.

The visitors will also be presented with manuscripts, calligraphic texts, religious writings, and samples of the centuries-old decorative art heritage "The Art of Illuminated Manuscripts", which is practiced in miniatures and is included in UNESCO's Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage.
