Has David Beckham succumbed to Botox fad?

( news.sawf.org ) - Football hero David Beckham seems to have lesser wrinkles than what he had a few years ago. The missing wrinkles have triggered rumors that the sexy Brit sportsman has had botox and filler injections. A source close to Becks and his wife, singer Victoria Beckham, said that the couple has therapists visiting their Madrid home quite often, and that a few friends also say they are receiving treatment more than the regular facials and peels.

"Victoria often has therapists and doctors visiting their Madrid home and some friends have hinted they may be doing more than providing them with facials and peels," News of the World quoted the source, as saying. The source also said that the famous couple dread looking older. "David is as obsessed with appearance as Posh and has been paranoid about looking older," the source added.

Top plastic surgeon, Alex Karidis, who studied a few pictures of Beckham, said that a large line that was visible on the footballer's forehead has vanished. Karidis added that that the 32-year-old has all the characteristics of a botoxed forehead, and that Beckham also seems to have had a botox injected on his eyebrows.

"He used to have a large line across his forehead which seems to have vanished. He has all the hallmarks of a botox forehead. He also appears to have had a lift on his eyebrows, that can often happen when botox is injected into that area," he said. The plastic surgeon also said that crow's feet around his eye have also vanished and such changes happen after botox treatment.

"And there were quite deep crow's feet around the eyes a couple of years ago. These seem to have almost disappeared. Changes like this in other celebrities are usually thanks to botox," he added.

The specialist joked that perhaps Beckham underwent the treatment because he shifted to LA, where no one ever grows old. "David may have chosen to start treatments now because he's about to move to Los Angeles. And, let's face it, there isn't an old person in sight there," he said. Botox, fillers and collagen injections that remove wrinkles, can be done at home. The treatment can cost up to 1000 pounds for every few months.
