Kyrgyzstan should take advantage of its neighborhood with China, Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambaev said in an interview with the Public Service Broadcasting Company OTRK, CA-News reported on Thursday.
The President said some allege that if the railway from China is built, then the Chinese will visit Kyrgyzstan.
"Even if we do not build this railway, they will come here anyway," Atambaev said.
President Atambaev repeatedly underscored the scheme of resources for exchange of investments.
The railway will enable Kyrgyzstan to access the ocean through China and get out of transport deadlock, Atambaev said. "If we want to become an economically independent and developed state, we need to develop the transport network," he added.
