Strengthening rural housing and creating a guarantee market for building materials are among the major plans of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Developments to reduce housing prices.
At a meeting in the parliament, the Minister of Roads and Urban Development Mohammad Eslami announced pursuing the issue of housing price, Trend reports citing official website of Ministry.
“Completing Mehr housing plan, building 400,000 residential [premises, strengthening rural housing, creating new financial capacities, organizing the rental housing market are among the ministry's housing programs,” the Minister Mohammad Eslami said. "We intend to find appropriate solutions and ensure liquidity of the housing sector.”
He added, “The Ministry's plan to strengthening rural housing and guarantee a market for building materials aim to reduce housing prices.” He noted that the guarantee market will be organized in cooperation with the Maskan Bank and the Housing Foundation. In his words, the purpose of creating a guarantee market for building materials is to support producers at a lower market rate.
The meeting at the parliament, which was held on May 29, was also attended by the Speaker of the Parliament, the Head of the Central Bank, the Managing Director of the Maskan Bank, the Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development, and the Head of the Islamic Revolutionary Housing Foundation.
