Monthly trading volume at Kazakhstan Stock Exchange revealed

Total value of auctions held at Kazakhstan Stock Exchange in January 2020 was 9.1 trillion tenge ($24.1 billion), which is 13.3 percent less than in January 2019, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE).

Auction value also decreased by 2.6 percent compared to December 2019.

Thus, value of securities trading amounted to $688.5 million in Jan. 2020, which is 35.5 percent less than in Jan. 2019.

The sum includes trading of share worth $47.4 million (increase by 57.7 percent) and of government securities worth $482.8 million (increase by 30.6 percent).

Foreign currency trading at KASE amounted to $2.3 billion in Jan. 2020, which is 17.2 percent more than in Jan. 2019. Money trading exceeded $21 billion during the reporting month which indicates a decrease by 15 percent compare to the same month of 2019.

Total value of auctions held at KASE was 118.1 trillion tenge in 2019 ($308.9 billion) in 2019, which also is 7.6 percent less than in 2018.
