The volume of tomatoes harvests exceeded 1,900 tons At the greenhouse complex of Turkmenistan’s Altyn bürgüt individual enterprise from 2019 to 2020, Trend reports with reference to Business Turkmenistan information portal.
The company exports 85 percent of tomatoes to such countries as Turkey, Russia, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan.
The greenhouse complex has an area of 8.5 hectares.
The large-scale transformations are being carried out in Turkmenistan aimed at improving the efficiency of agriculture, the priority direction of which is the creation of enterprises for processing agricultural raw materials and greenhouses.
Thanks to state support, entrepreneurs in Turkmenistan not only supply domestic markets with high-quality products but also export them abroad.
As reported, the first harvest of tomatoes in the amount of 800 tons was grown in the greenhouse of Turkmenistan's Altyn Tug company in March 2020.
Earlier, a new greenhouse was launched in the Mary region of Turkmenistan.
Turkmenistan exports vegetable products to the neighboring countries. More than 17 tons of tomatoes grown in Turkmenistan were delivered to Kyrgyzstan in February 2019.
