BP Azerbaijan has stopped working with a company whose name is mentioned in a corruption scandal in Great Britain, the company said today.
The name of this company has not been disclosed.
According to BP, the process of terminating the contract with this company is underway. BP is seriously considering any potential violations of its own code on the Rules of conduct.
The Daily Telegraph newspaper previously reported that one of the contracting companies announced that it gave a bribe as part of a contract in Azerbaijan. The company involved in the corruption has provided the UK's Serious Fraud Office with the necessary information.
BP said that the company received the information from a contracting company that it violated those rules of conduct in the past established by the company.
