Manufacturing of oil, petroleum products up in Kazakhstan

Volume of oil extraction in Kazakhstan amounted to 90.5 million tons in 2019, which is 0.2 percent more than in 2018, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

Industrial manufacturing index amounted to 103.8 percent in Kazakhstan in 2019.

“Extraction of crude oil, natural gas and metal ores increased from January through December 2019 compared to 2018. Volume of beverages manufacturing increased, as well as oil refining, pharmaceuticals, vehicles manufacturing. At the same time, production of food and tobacco products decreased,” the report said.

Thus, manufacturing of copper ore amounted to 119.8 million tons, which is 13.8 percent more than in 2018. Manufacturing of petrol amounted to 4.5 million tons (increase by 14.8 percent), of gasoil to 5 million tons (increase by 8 percent).

Manufacturing of Portland cement was 9.9 million tons, which is 0.6 percent more than in 2018. Manufacturing of flat metal was 2 million tons (decrease by 20 percent), of refined copper to 0.5 million tons (increase by 7.9 percent), of electricity to 107.5 billion kWh (increase by 0.2 percent).

Flour manufacturing amounted to 3.3 million tons, which indicates a decrease of 13 percent compared to 2018.
