Uzbekistan’s Asia-Invest Bank signs cooperation agreement with Bank of New York Mellon

Uzbekistan’s Asia-Invest Bank signed a cooperation agreement with the Bank of New York Mellon (BNY Mellon), one of the leading US banks, Trend reports referring to the press service of Asia-Invest Bank.

It was noted that Asia-Invest Bank, the subsidiary bank of the National Bank in Russia, is constantly expanding the range of financial services, creating favorable conditions for servicing clients and productively interacting with foreign financial institutions.

As a result of the agreements reached in 2020, Asia-Invest Bank signed a cooperation agreement with BNY Mellon, which will open a correspondent account in US dollars for Asia-invest bank.

It is reported that cooperation with such a well-known bank contributes to the expansion of Asia-Invest Bank's activities in the field of international settlements, as well as strengthening the bank's status in the banking services market, especially in Russia and Uzbekistan.

In addition, a direct correspondent account with a US bank will allow Asia-invest bank to carry out more flexible and prompt mutual settlements in US dollars on cross-border payments of clients, and reduce their costs by eliminating commissions from third banks.

The Bank of New York Mellon is one of the largest US banking and financial companies, formed in 2007 as a result of the merger of the oldest US bank - The Bank of New York (founded in 1748) and Mellon Financial Corporation.

The main activities of the bank are investments, asset management, settlement operations, custody services, trust, and treasury operations. Numerous clients include governments, government institutions, asset management companies, banks, corporate clients, investment, brokerage, dealer and insurance companies, financial advisors, and individuals. The bank operates in 35 countries of the world.
