BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 6. Some 170,600 foreigners visited Azerbaijan in June 2022, which is 153.9 percent more than in the same period last year, Trend reports citing the Azerbaijan State Tourism Agency.
According to the agency, 638,770 foreign citizens visited Azerbaijan in first half of 2022, which is more than double of the figure for the same period last year (281,817).
The top 10 countries by the number of foreigners who visited Azerbaijan in June 2022 included Russia (44,300 people), Türkiye (36,000 people), Iran (18,200 people), Saudi Arabia (12,100 people), Georgia (6,900 people), Pakistan (6,700 people), India (4,500 people), Kazakhstan (3,500 people), Oman (3,500 people), Israel (3,200 people).
According to the agency, number of the UK citizens visiting Azerbaijan increased by 106.4 percent in June 2022 compared to June 2021 - up to 3,000 people, Ukraine - by 5.8 percent - up to 2,200 people.
