The volume of cargo transportation by all types of vehicles reached 155.5 million tons from January through October 2020, Trend reports citing the data from the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee.
A decrease in cargo transportation in annual terms reached 18.8 percent.
Some 7.7 percent of all cargo transportation (12 million tons) accounted for cargo transportation by railway.
Some 12 million tons of cargo and 1.8 million passengers were transported by railway from January through October 2020.
The cargo transportation decreased by 3.9 percent while passenger transportation by 38.4 percent from January through October 2020 compared to the same period of 2019.
Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover amounted to more than $21 billion from January through October 2020, which is 25.7 percent less than in the same period of 2019.
Some $12.2 billion accounted for export in the structure of foreign trade turnover, which is a 27.3 percent decline in export on an annualized basis.
The share of export for the year decreased by 1.24 percentage points up to 58.25 percent of the total foreign trade turnover.
