Weekly review of trading at Turkmenistan's commodity exchange

The total amount of transactions in foreign currency at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan for the last week exceeded $62.4 million, Trend reports on Oct.25 referring to Turkmenportal.

Businessmen from Russia, the UAE, Switzerland, Turkey, Afghanistan, Hong Kong, Malta, Panama and other countries purchased aviation kerosene, base oil, construction oil bitumen, and polypropylene, produced at the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries, while Singaporean representatives bought technical sulfur in foreign currency.

Moreover, businessmen from Azerbaijan, Russia, Turkey, Afghanistan, Ukraine, and Kyrgyzstan bought float sheet glass, plain dyed and jacquard terry products and cotton yarn in foreign currency.

As for the local Turkmen currency, the UAE and Kazakh businessmen purchased cotton yarn for over 12.48 million manat ($3.56 million).

Besides, Turkmen businessmen bought handmade carpets, cotton fiber, cotton lint and plastic pallets totally worth over 179.7 million manat ($51.3 million).

In total, 43 transactions were registered at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan last week.
