BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 1. Turkmenistan is a country with one of the cheapest gasoline prices as of January 30, 2023, Trend reports with reference to the Global Petrol Prices (GPP) portal.

According to the information, the cost of gasoline in Turkmenistan is $0.42 per liter.

The cheapest gasoline price in the world is in Venezuela ($0.01 per liter), and the most expensive is in Hong Kong ($2.94 per liter).

In addition to Venezuela and Turkmenistan, the top countries with the lowest gasoline prices include Libya, Iran, Algeria, Angola, Kuwait, Egypt, Nigeria and Kazakhstan.

The top countries with the most expensive gasoline prices are Syria, France, Greece, Finland, Central African Republic, Monaco, Denmark, Iceland, and Norway.

Gasoline prices in countries are due to different types of fuel taxes and subsidies. So all countries buy oil on international markets at the same prices but charge different taxes. Therefore, the retail price of gasoline is different.
