Mass production of Turkey’s domestic tank "Altay" will start in the first half of 2019, the country’s Defense Ministry told Trend.
Initially, 500 tanks will be manufactured, according to the ministry.
Turkey’s first domestic tank, Altay, was tested in July 2013. According to the test results, the tank fully meets the requirements and is suitable for mass production.
