Three people were wounded in an explosion in the Egyptian capital, Sputnik reported with the reference to the local media.
The explosion took place on Wednesday in the Giza suburb of Cairo, hitting a police armored vehicle, according to the Al-Youm al-Sabea online newspaper.
The vehicle was only lightly damaged, but two passengers and the driver of a taxi that was passing by at the time of the explosion were injured.
The man who detonated the explosive device was caught and beaten by locals until police units arrived.
