Azeri Ministry of Industry and Energy advocates speeding up implementation of Phase 2 under Shah Deniz project,Trend reports. Today Minister of Industry and Energy Natik Aliyev said the partners on Shah Deniz project are spoken with on commencing Phase 2 by 2010.
В"Earlier BP (operator) announced the Phase 2 commencement for the year 2012. The project commercial operator, Statoil, named 2010-12 and SOCAR said of 2010. At the moment we are talking namely of the year 2010В", - Aliyev said.
He said acceleration of Phase 2 will allow receive additional 8bn m3 of gas a year. В"Such an amount will become the result of accelerated drilling within Phase 1В", - he concluded.
