For the first time in Azerbaijan education system Business Administration-BA Programs (MBA, BA, ZU) in Azerbaijan State Oil Industry University have been accredited by International Accreditation Agency FIBAA (Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation) in 5 majors:
-Business Informatics (B.Sc)
-Computer Engineering (B.Sc.)
-Industrial Engineering (B.Sc.)
-Computer Information Systems (MBA)
-Operations Management (MBA)
FIBAA was founded in 1994 in Bonn, Germany and became one of the first agencies to be accredited by the German Accreditation Council. The main goal of this organisation is to improve the quality of education and ensure European and International standards. During October 24-26 of the current year FIBAA panel members’ on site visit has been implemented. Among the members were the professors from the prominent Universities as Erfurt, Albstadt-Sigmaringen, Osnabrück.
During the on-site visit all the aspects of education, learning and teaching materials, curricula, syllabi, textbooks etc., were profoundly checked. They held meetings and broad discussions with administrative staff, instructors, students and alumni. It clearly shows that education in BA Programs based on the latest educational methods, technical equipments and high level of English instruction meets European and International standards.
The quality of the Programs and teaching & training environment created in ASOIU involve students. The Programs can easlily compete in both educational and labour markets. Our Programs provide the studends with theoretical and methodological knowledge, necessary capabilities for successful career.
After evaluating all aspects of education in BA Programs FIBAA came to the conclusion that the Programs have own defined quality targets and work regularly to achieve them. Its educational ensurance system provides sustainable quality and improvement in education. At the same time BA Programs have improvement procedures for continuedly supervise and control the high quality.
