Kazakhstan will begin manufacturing of over 10 new car models in 2020, Trend reports with reference to the press office of Kazakhstan’s prime minister.
This was announced within the framework of a visit of Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister Askar Mamin to National Automobile Pavilion.
According to the information, the share of the automotive industry in mechanical engineering of Kazakhstan amounted to 26 percent compared to 19 percent in 2018, more than 50,000 pieces of equipment were produced with a total value of about 360 billion tenge ($946.9 million), and about 2,7000 cars were exported.
The total volume of automotive industry production in 2020 is planned to be increased to 100,000 cars, of which 10,000-15,000 to be exported to Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Belarus and other countries.
The Hyundai plant the capacity of which will be 45,000 cars per year will be opened in Almaty city in 2020.
In the presence of Mamin, a cooperation agreement was signed between Uzavtosanoat JSC and KazakhExport Export Insurance JSC, as well as an agreement on the supply of car kits between SaryarkaAvtoProm LLP and UzAuto Motors JSC.
