BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 2. Kazakhstan's GDP growth is forecast at 4 percent in 2023, Azamat Amrin, Vice Minister of National Economy, said, presenting the draft law "On amendments to the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On the Budget for 2023-2025", Trend reports, citing Kazakh media.

"According to the estimates of international financial organizations, the growth of the world economy in 2023 is projected to be in the range of 1.7-2 percent. The consensus forecast for Brent crude oil prices for 2023 is $87.3 per barrel. The average price since the beginning of the year has been at the level of $84 per barrel. According to the operational data, GDP growth in 2022 amounted to 3.2 percent," he said.

Amrin noted that, in 2023, according to the assessments, positive dynamics is expected in various sectors of the economy.

"Based on operational data on the GDP growth in 2022, global economic growth for 2023 and updated forecasts for export prices, the country's macroeconomic indicators remained at the previously approved level. Real GDP growth remains unchanged at 4 percent, oil prices – $85 per barrel, oil production – 92.6 million tons," he added.

The vice minister pointed out that the forecasts for the growth in the industrial sector stands at 4.6 percent, in agriculture - at 3 percent, in construction - at 3.8 percent, in trade - 6.2 percent, transport - 3.3 percent.

Exports volume has also remained at the level of $80.9 billion, while imports volumes stood at $45.7 billion.
