BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 16. KazTransOil, national oil transporter of Kazakhstan, will transit 25,000 tons of Russian oil via its pipeline system to Uzbekistan in March, Trend reports, citing the press service of the company.

The transit route starts in Russian Omsk, followed by two transit stops in Kazakhstan - Pavlodar and Shymkent before reaching Shagyr loading facility. The oil from Russia will be then transported to Uzbekistan via railroad tanks.

KazTransOil revealed that the volume of Russian oil transported to Uzbekistan via Kazakhstan will reach 250,000 tons in 2023.

The transit route and the volume of oil to be transported have already been confirmed by the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan.

Meanwhile, Kazakhstan has earlier also launched the transit of Kazakh oil to Germany via the territory of Russia. Overall, KazTransOil will transport 1.2 million tons of oil to Germany in 2023.

KazTransOil is an oil pipeline company of the Republic of Kazakhstan that provides services for the transportation of oil to the domestic market, for transit, and for export. KazTransOil is a public company, 90 percent of which ordinary shares belong to KazMunayGas, and 10 percent of ordinary shares minus 1 share are under the control of minority shareholders.
