Kyrgyzstan sees increase in average monthly salaries

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 29. Kyrgyzstan recorded an increase in average monthly salaries from January through May 2022, Trend reports with reference to the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.

In Kyrgyzstan, the average monthly salary in the first five months of 2022 amounted to 22,927 soms ($276), which is an increase of 19.8 percent compared to the same period of 2021.

According to the statistical data, Kyrgyzstan's Naryn region ranked first among regions in terms of the highest salaries in the reporting period - 23,280 soms ($280). Followed by Talas region 23,024 ($277) and Jalal-Abad 22,443.

While, the lowest salary from January through May 2022 was registered in eastern part of Kyrgyzstan, Issyk-Kul region 17,472 soms ($210.5).

Meanwhile, the highest salary in the reporting period was recorded in mining industry 47,536 ($572), while in the first five months of 2021 - in information and communications (42,846 soms or $516).
