Some 1,445 ships have docked at Turkish Ambarli port from January to May 2021, Turkey’s Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend.
According to the ministry, among the docked ships 490 flew the Turkish flag, and other 955 - flags of other countries over the reporting period.
Overall, in May 2021, Turkish ports received 4,352 ships.
Meanwhile, among the received ships 1,365 flew the Turkish flag, and other 2,987 - flags of other countries.
In the first 5 months of this year, Turkish ports received 20,745 ships, including 6,177 ones flying the Turkish flag, the ministry said.
“The remaining 14,568 ships received by the local ports flew the flags of other countries,” added the ministry.
