Iranian researchers built a smart remote-control submarine with the subsurface speed of 10 meter per second, ISNA reported.

The submarine dubbed "Phoenix" enjoys the speed of 12 meters per second on waters. It also possesses beautiful appearance and capable of carrying out different maneuvers.

Mono-propel propulsion and fin system maneuver are some features of the 3-kg submarine. It can carry out surveillance for one meter.

Also camera can be installed on the submarine and the system can be employed in maritime and military industries.

It was earlier reported that Iran will release two new submairines of own production, Fateh and Besat. "Fateh" submarine will be put into operation in the beginning of new Iranian Year (starts on March 21), and 1,200 ton Besat submarine will be released after it.
