Masterpieces of Uzbek national art to be presented to public

Masterpieces of national art of the present and the past decorating private collections of famous museums of Uzbekistan and Europe will be first represented to public.

The unique exhibition will be dedicated to Novruz holiday and 2,200 year-jubilee of Tashkent, the fund Forum of Culture and Art of Uzbekistan told Trend . The project's organizers include UNESCO, the British Council and the fund Forum of Culture and Art of Uzbekistan.

The project will be held in Tashkent from March 20 to April 20. The specialists from Russia, France and Germany will speak about century-old interaction of forms and images of van and color paintings of national Uzbek cloth.

The exhibition is divided on three thematic blocks, including Cradles, Traditions and the Present, Inspiration of Vanguard. Masterpieces of museums' and private collections from different world countries will be represented here. They include exhibits of traditional and modern decorative-applied and fine arts. Part of them is planned to bring to Uzbekistan especially for this project.

Masterpieces of national art will be exhibited in halls of the Palace of Youth's Creative Work opened under support of the fund Forum of Culture and Art of Uzbekistan in 2008.

The President's elder daughter Gulnara Karimova is the chairman of trustee council of this public organization.
