The leader of the Alliance for Georgia, Irakli Alasania briefed the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Matthew Bryza with his ways out of the political crisis in Georgia.

"The way out is a dialogue between the opposition and the authorities," said Alasania.

Bryza arrived in Tbilisi on March 25. His conversation with the ex-Speaker of Georgian Parliament Nino Burjanadze and former Ambassador of Georgia to UN Irakli Alasania held behind closed doors. It was attended by U.S. Ambassador to Georgia John Tefft.

"The conversation was about how we imagine the way out of this situation. U.S. is our strategic partner and Washington's support is very significant for us," stressed Alasania.

He also said that the meeting discussed issues related to the opposition protest action on April 9, demanding the resignation of President Mikheil Saakashvili.
