The most tragic genocide in the early 20th century occurred in many regions of Azerbaijan. Thousands of people became victims of Armenian vandalism and many settlements were destroyed.
During the genocide, 122 villages were completely destroyed in the Guba province in April-May 1918.
Along with Azerbaijanis, killed with extreme cruelty, thousands of Lezgis Jews and members of other nationalities were also exposed to violence.
