Azerbaijan, Baku, March 27 / Trend , A.Huseynbala/

Establishment of a new electoral bloc depends on the position of the Azadlyg bloc, said the chairman of the Azerbaijani opposition party.

Azadlyg bloc with variations accepts the proposal to join the new electoral bloc like the Umid Party, chairman of the Azerbaijan Democratic Party of (ADP) Sardar Jalaloglu told Trend on March 27.
Azerbaijan Democratic Party has proposed to create a new electoral bloc with the Azadlyg bloc and Umid Party. Currently, discussions continue between the ADP and Azadlyg bloc on this issue.

Parliamentary elections will be held in Azerbaijan in autumn 2010. Previously, elections were held in November 2005. In Azerbaijan, parliamentary elections are held by the majority system in 125 constituencies.
Creating a new electoral bloc delays because the parties joining the Azadlyg bloc still hold discussions on this issue. "If the other side responds positively, then soon it will be possible to establish a bloc and begin to work," said the chairman of the party.
According to him, Azadlyg bloc is not interested in the establishment of an electoral bloc in a larger composition.

"These parties prefer to create a bloc with only ADP. And we think that if we repeat the position of the Musavat party, it will not make a more organized participation of the opposition in the elections," said Jalaloglu.
