Lithuanian Prime Minister and Foreign Minister will visit Azerbaijan in the first half of 2012.
In June, Prime Minister of Lithuania Andrius Kubilius will pay an official visit to Azerbaijan, and prior to him, in April this country's Foreign Minister Andronius Azubalis will arrive in Baku.
During Azubalis's visit to Baku the next meeting of the bilateral intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation will be held.
Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite and Azerbaijani Ambassador to this country Hasan Mammadzade discussed upcoming visits and prospects of bilateral cooperation in various spheres, the Embassy told Trend.
Azerbaijani Ambassador Hasan Mammadzade handed over his credentials to President Grybauskaite on Friday.
An exhibition-fair of Lithuanian goods will also be held within the meeting of intergovernmental commission in Baku.
Azerbaijan attaches great importance to cooperation with Lithuania in such spheres as information technologies, agriculture, education and culture, Mr Mammadzade said at the meeting.
