No foreign state can put a pressure on Azerbaijan in Nagorno-Karabakh conflict resolution, the Azerbaijani- US council` s president, Jeyhun Mollahzadeh told Trend, commenting about the current visit of the Azerbaijani president to US.
US- Azerbaijani relations reached the strategic level in politics, economy, energy , security and terrorism struggle, he said.
He did not exclude the possibility that Nagorno-Karabakh problem will be on the agenda of talks. However, both sides have to reach compromise with each other. US have to take a position of mediator. America accepts the territorial integrity of azerbaijan, so the regulation conditions can only be discussed between the 2 heads of states.
He also did not exclude possibility of discussing American- Iranian relations. In these regard Azerbaijan is taking a role of mediator. Azerbaijan wants stability in the region. Any type of military operations near our borders may create the tension in the region. So official Baku will use all possibilities to avoid such outcome, he said.
