A group of Azerbaijani peacekeepers will return to their motherland from Kosovo, Iraq and Afghanistan, the acting spokesman for the Defense Ministry, Ilgar Verdiyev told Trend.
Several groups of peacekeepers were dispatched to these countries, Verdiyev underlined.
The Azerbaijani peacekeeping contingent was last dispatched to these countries in January 2006. The same time 3 groups comprised of 104 peacekeepers have been sent to Kosovo, Iraq and Afghanistan. 90 peacemakers were dispatched to Iraq, 9 to Kosovo and 5 Afghanistan.
