Azerbaijan, Baku/ Trend , corr. K. Zarbaliyeva/ The State Committee for the Fight Against Drug Addiction and Illegal Drug Trafficking and Turnover is expected to destroy all seized drug and drug substances in Baku on 26 June.
Israfil Aliyev, the Chief of the Working Group of the State Commitee, has stated today that on the occasion of International Day on the Fight Against Drugs, over 200 kg drugs and drug substances will be destroyed. Mr. Aliyev stated that amongst the drugs that had been seized, there contained a large amount of dangerous drugs.
The Chief of the Working Group of the Commitee also told of the plans to be put into operation within "The Year of Youth" in the country, in particular of measures to be taken to combat the illegal drug trafficking, addiction and its turnover.
The State Committee for the Fight Against Drug Addiction and Illegal Drug Trafficking and Turnover Jointly, together with the corresponding Ministries and State Committees, is expected to hold several scientific and practical conferences, particularly on April 23 in Absheron, on April 25 in Ganja, On April 26 in Mingachavir, and in April 27 in Yevlakh.
