Korean Institute Invites Representatives of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Agriculture to Special Courses

Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend S.Babayeva / Korean Food Research Institute (KFRI) invited the representatives of Azerbaijan's Ministry of Agriculture to participate in the specialized trainings in Seoul between 29 October and 11 November.

According to the information by the Ministry, the courses will be dedicated to the technology of extending the period of keeping grape, apple and tomato after their harvest.

According to the data, provided by the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan, as of 1 October the volume of the fruit production made up 393,000 tons, an increase of 7.4% from the same period of the last year. Grape harvesting equaled 70,800 tons, an increase of 11.1%. The vegetable production made up 1,126,500 tons (+4.6%).

Azerbaijan's Ministry of Agriculture and Korean Food Research Institute signed Memorandum of Understanding in March. It will be the second visit of the representatives of the Ministry to Korea this year within the co-operation with KFRI.
