Two delegations of Italian and Thai investors have met with Iranian officials in charge of free zones and expressed their interest in investing in the zones.
The Italian delegation announced its readiness to invest in launching furniture and interior decorative items as well as fish farms, ISNA news agency reported on Monday.
The Thai group paid a visit to Arvand Free Zone, southwest of Iran, and got acquainted with potentials for investment in the zone, particularly in the fishery sector.
They also put forward the idea of investing in petrochemical sector and establishing commercial centers as well as transiting Thai-made products via the zone to Iraq.
