Georgia and Norway on Thursday concluded two intergovernmental agreements titled "On Avoidance of Dual Taxation" and "On Readmission of Illegal Migrants", respectively.

The agreements were signed at the Office of the Georgian Foreign Ministry.
Following the signing ceremony, the two Foreign Ministers - Grigol Vashadze and Jonas Gar Store - held a briefing.

Vashadze and Gar Store said issues of bilateral relations had been discussed at the meeting.

"We spoke for development of our relations mostly in the field of economy," Vashadze said and noted that he had informed his counterpart in full of Georgia's Russia WTO talks and of the agreement concluded under Switzerland's mediation.

Georgian Foreign Minister welcomed Norway's investments in Georgia's energy sector, particularly, construction of several hydro power plants.

For his part, Gar Store welcomed successful reforms in Georgia.
"We are particularly delighted at the implementation of reforms in the economic, political and judicial fields, which is also indicative of apparent progress in Georgia's relations with the NATO," he said.
