Prices in consumer market of Uzbekistan increased by 0.9 percent in April 2018 with goods increasing in price by 0.4 percent and services by 2.7 percent, the press service of the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan stated May 1.
According to the statement, consumer goods grew in price by 0.3 percent, whereas non-consumer goods increased by 0.4 percent.
Price hike on motor fuel was due to the increasing price of methane (8.4 percent on average) and decreasing price of propane (18.7 percent on average).
Prices of apparel changed in line with the seasonal trends, with spring-summer clothes and footwear increasing in price.
Average price in the services market grew mainly due to increase of the utility tariffs.
