Baku, Azerbaijan, July 2

Trend:

New rules of transport control on roads have come into force in Kazakhstan, the press service of the Ministry of Investment and Development of Kazakhstan said in a statement.

According to the new rules, the procedure for measuring the weight and dimensions of the vehicle has been defined and the time of execution of some procedures by inspectors has been prescribed.

So, 10 minutes are allocated for checking the documents for the implementation of road transportation of goods and their conformity with the requirements of the legislation; 20-30 minutes – to the measurement of the actual weight and dimensional parameters of vehicles; in the case of initiation of proceedings about an administrative offense, the check should last no longer than 60 minutes.

Also, one of the innovations is the camera recording of the procedure of transport control. Their use is necessary for the effectiveness of the inspectors’ activities, for ensuring the legality of the taken decisions, and for reducing the corruption risks.

In addition, from now on, the inspector is obliged to fill in the statement on the results of each inspection. A copy of the statement with the signature of the officer of the transport control post is given to the driver of the vehicle. In the case of sealed cargo, such statement will relieve drivers from the necessity of passing a repeated check when stopping at another transport control post.
