Car manufacturing in Iran has decreased by 39.8 percent in the month of Mehr during the period from Sept.23 to Oct.22, as compared to the same period last year, said the country’s Industry, Mines and Trade Ministry.
Around 83,027 cars have been manufactured in Iran during the month of Mehr of this year, as compared to 137,914 during the same period last year, ISNA reported citing the ministry.
The country has produced 76,909 passenger cars in Mehr this year, as compared to 128,838 cars in the same period last year, which shows a decrease of 40.3 percent.
Around 73 buses have been manufactured in Iran in Mehr this year, compared to 182 buses in Mehr last year, which shows a 59.9 percent decrease.
Moreover, 4,822 pickup trucks were produced in Mehr this year, as compared to 7,504 in the same month last year.
Production of various small trucks, lorries and trucks has decreased by 31.3 percent from 1,277 to 877.
This is while the production of various types of microbuses has increased by 124 percent compared to the same month last year.
