In January 2019, the volume of goods and services produced by the Baku industry increased by 2.9 percent compared to January last year and amounted to 3.2 billion manats, Trend reports April 3 with reference to the Baku City Statistical Department.
“Some 83.2 percent of industrial production accounted for the mining industry, 14.5 percent for the processing sector, 1.7 percent for electricity, 0.6 percent for the waste cleaning and recycling sector,” the report said.
The share of the non-state sector in the industry was 83.6 percent, the share of industrial production in the total volume of production was 87.8 percent, and the provision of industrial services - 12.2 percent.
“Most of the products were sent to consumers, taking into account the reserves created in previous periods, the stocks of ready-made products in the warehouses of industrial facilities amounted to 258.1 million manats as of February 1, 2019,” the report says.
The warehouses of industrial facilities also contain other products worth 34.2 million manats, purchased from other facilities and intended for sale.
