Azerbaijani alcohol producer eyes to increase output volumes

Baku, Azerbaijan, July 26

By Matanat Nasibova - Trend:

Sheki Sherab LLC, an Azerbaijani winery, plans to double the volume of wine production from the beginning of next year, the winery’s director Vidadi Hasanov told Trend.

He said that the plant’s grape processing capacity may increase to 7,000 tons per year.

“The plant is capable of processing 3,000 tons of grapes per year, while last year the figure was 730 tons,” he noted. “Last year 500,000 liters of wine were produced, and by the end of this year we plan to bring these volumes to 600,000-650,000 liters. Next year, these figures may grow to 700,000 liters and higher.”

He noted that the capacity of the plant may grow due to the opening of new production lines, adding that the company is already working on this.

“We plan to start the production of fruit vodka, as well as liqueur with low concentration of alcohol,” he added. “This issue is on the agenda, we are developing mechanisms for opening new production lines.”

Sheki Sherab LLC was founded in 2006 with design production capacity of 280,000 bottles of wine. The company has equipment supplied by Italian company “Della Toffola.”

There are workshops for receiving grapes, and producing and bottling of various brands of wine at the plant. The plant has two bunkers for receiving white and red grape varieties, two production lines for white and red wines, and one more line for the production of elite wines.

DELLA TOFFOLA".
