From January through November 2019, the value of industrial production (volume of manufactured products and rendered industrial services) in Azerbaijan amounted to 42.2 billion manat ($24.9 billion), which is 1.4 percent more than in the same period of last year, Trend reports with reference to the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee.
Production in the non-oil industry sector increased by 13.9 percent, according to the report.
Some 70 percent of industrial production accounted for the extractive sector, 25.1 percent for the processing sector, 4.2 percent for the production, distribution and supply of electricity, and 0.7 percent for the field of water supply and waste treatment.
Oil production in the reporting period decreased by 3.4 percent, and gas production increased by 27.1 percent.
During the reporting period, an 82.4 percent increase was recorded in production of finished metal products, processing of wood and the production of wood products increased by 80.6 percent. The production of tobacco products increased by 55.7 percent, drinks - by 40 percent, printing products - by 39.9 percent, computer, electronic and optical products - by 37.7 percent, yarn – 36.2 percent, furniture - by 29.5 percent, installation and repair of machinery and equipment - by 30.9 percent, chemicals – 27.3 percent, paper and cardboard - by 23.4 percent, rubber and plastic products - by 17.1 percent, food production - by 10.4 percent, pharmaceutical products - by 24.7 percent, machinery and equipment production - by 5.2 percent, building materials - by 4.4 percent, clothes - by 11.5 percent and electrical equipment - by 1.3 percent.
The production of footwear and leather goods decreased by 1.3 percent, oil products -3.7 percent, electrical equipment - by 11.1 percent, metal products - by 11.7 percent, cars, trailers and semi-trailers - by 24.3 percent, other vehicles - by 10 percent.
The volume of production, distribution and supply of electricity increased by 2.6 percent, water supply and waste treatment - by 5.9 percent.
