Kazakhstan increases volume of petroleum oil exported to Germany

Kazakhstan has exported 590,420 tons of crude petroleum oil and oil obtained from bituminous minerals worth 155.1 million euros to Germany in October 2020, a Eurostat official told Trend.

In turn, Kazakhstan exported 5.9 million tons of petroleum oil and oil obtained from bituminous minerals worth 1.8 billion euros to Germany over the period from Jan. through Oct. 2020.

Thus, the October volume of petroleum oil and oil obtained from bituminous minerals from Kazakhstan to Germany is 27.1 percent more compared to September 2020 (464,182 tons) and is 24.9 percent less than in Jan. 2020 (787,187 tons).

October’s exports are also 21.4 percent more than September 2020 (127.8 million euros) and are 60.3 percent less than in Jan. 2020 (391.1 million euros).

The value of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Germany amounted to $1.6 billion over the first ten months of 2020, compared to $1.4 billion during the same period of 2019.

Kazakhstan’s export to Germany amounted to $187.1 million over the period from January through Oct. 2020, compared to $253.6 million during the same period of 2019.

In turn, Kazakhstan’s imports from Germany amounted to nearly $1.4 billion over the reporting period, compared to $1.2 billion during the same period of 2019.
