Iran's exports via Isfahan Province soar

Iran’s exports through the customs of Isfahan Province increased by 73 percent in terms of value and 21 percent in terms of volume, during the first seven months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through October 22, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Director General for Isfahan Province Customs Office, Rasoul Kuhestani said, Trend reports citing Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).

According to Kuhestani, a total of 1.22 million tons of goods worth about $750 million were exported through the province's five customs in 7 months.

The director general noted that so, about 777,000 tons of goods worth about $376 million were exported through the Isfahan border checkpoint within the mentioned period. The exports increased by 73 percent in terms of value and 25 percent in terms of volume, compared to the same period last Iranian year.

“At the same time, 299,000 tons of goods worth $256 million were exported through Kashan border checkpoint over seven months, which is an increase of 97 percent in terms of value, and 44 percent in terms of volume, compared to the same period last year,” he said.

Kuhestani also added that 53,000 tons of goods worth $51 million were exported through the customs in the territory of the Mobarakeh Steel Company in 7 months, which is an increase of 31 percent in terms of value, while a decrease of 33 percent in terms of volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.

“Furthermore, 88,600 tons of goods worth $58.6 million were exported through the customs in the territory of the Esfahan Steel Company over the reporting period. This is an increase of 57 percent in terms of value, while a decrease of 4 percent in terms of volume, compared to the same period last Iranian year,” he said.

The director general emphasized that 762 tons of goods worth $7.04 million were exported through the customs of Shahid Beheshti International Airport in 7 months of the current Iranian year. The exports decreased by 25 percent in terms of value and 57 percent in terms of volume, compared to the same period last Iranian year.
