IMIDRO reveals data on iron ore concentrate production in Iran

The iron ore concentrate production of 10 major Iranian companies increased by 2 percent, in the 6th month of the current Iranian year (August 23 through September 22, 2021), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports citing Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).

These companies produced a total of 4.32 million tons of iron ore concentrate over the 6th month. Meanwhile, in the same month last Iranian year, the figure stood at 4.24 million tons.

The mentioned 10 companies are Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company, Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company, Middle East Mines Industries Development Holding Company (MIDHCO), Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company, Central Iron Ore Company of Iran, Opal Parsian Sangan Industrial and Mining Company, Sanabad Inclusive Development Industrial and Mining Company, Sangan Mining Industries Company, Sabanour Mining and Industrial Development Company, and Jalalabad Iron Ore Complex.

“In addition, the companies produced 158,000 tons of iron ore pellets in the 6th month of the current Iranian year, which is an increase of 53 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year. The figure stood at 103,000 tons in the same month last Iranian year,” the report said.

At the same time, 265,000 tons of iron ore pellets were transported to the relevant companies in the sixth month, which is an increase of 240 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year. Meanwhile, in the same month last Iranian year, a total of 78,000 tons of iron ore pellets were transported.
