Azeri government has repaid 20% of foreign debt to date, Trend reports quoting Rufat Mahmud, Director of department for cooperation with international financial institutions, Ministry of Economic Development.
During the entire history of foreign credits involvement against governmental securities, WB issued $724mln, JBIC $660mln, IMF $335mln, EBRD $273mln, IDB $132mln, KFW $81mln.
He said foreign debt today mainly consists of energy credits and credits issued for structural reforms. В"The situation is changing now and transport sector may become a priority-driven sphere for the countryВ", - he said.
WB already announced its intention to invest $550mln in transport sector of Azerbaijan during the closest 3-4 years.
