Azeri gov't selecting a consultant on establishment of a petro-chemical complex

The Ministry of Economic Development is preparing for definition of a consultant on the development of a feasibility study of the project on establishment of Petro-chemical complex.

Heydar Babayev, the Minister for Economic Development, told journalists that the Azerbaijani government itself will pay for services to receive more objective conclusion. If it is done by a potential investor, the result can be favorable, the Minister explained.

A will to invest in this sector was sounded by the US companies. The Minister said that during the talks there evolved a number of questions, starting from the type (gas or oil product) and crude price till sale.
